If you don’t have a receipt and did not provide a phone number when you purchased the item, then it’s at the discretion of the store whether they will accept your return or not.
If your item has been lightly worn and the tags have been removed, then it’s at the discretion of the store if they will accept the item back. In most cases, a missing tag is not a significant issue for returning items.
If you purchased a gift card or an item from lululemon’s “We Made Too Much” section, these items can’t be returned or exchanged and are considered final sale. Any other items marked as a final sale will also not be accepted for return.
Lululemon In-Store Return
Items purchased in-store or online can be returned to any lululemon store within North America, which means if you purchase in Canada, you can return the item in the United States if needed.
“Like New Returns” can not be processed in-store, and you need to return these via the Like New Return Portal.
Bring your item along with your receipt to any North American store to receive a refund or exchange on your item. The sales associate will inspect the item and process the return.
Lululemon Return by Mail
Any items you purchased online can be returned by mail using the lululemon returns process.
- You can initiate a return or check the status of your return online at the lululemon return portal.
- If you have an account, you will need to log in, or you will need to provide the order ID and billing email.
- Select the item(s) you will return.
- Print your return label and form
- Package your item with the return form.
- Drop off your package to FedEx or the carrier lululemon indicates.
Once received, your item will be examined, and a refund will be issued to the original payment method within seven days.
Types of lululemon Returns
Standard lululemon returns allow you to return any unworn and unwashed item that still has its original packaging and tags for a full refund or exchange. The return will be accepted whether there is a defect or you just changed your mind.
Some stores offer “Like New” products to be sold and purchased in-store, but all returns must be done through an online portal and will not be accepted in the store you made the purchase.
If you received a lululemon product as a gift, it will be accepted for exchange with a gift receipt at a store; you can not return a gift through the mail.
Items marked as final sale are just that and will not be accepted for return due to quality, defect, or other reasons. You must inspect and be happy with final sale items before purchasing and leaving the store.
Less Than 3 Items
If you are returning three items or less via mail, you can receive a fast-track refund, which provides an instant refund once your return label is scanned at FedEx or USPS. If returning more than three items, you will need to wait for the order to be processed to receive your refund.
Lululemon can’t refund PayPal purchases in-store but can provide a gift card instead of a refund to your PayPal account. Otherwise, you will need to start an online return to receive a refund to your PayPal account.
Lululemon 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee
Lululemon does offer a guarantee on the quality of its products which can extend past the 30-day return window if you find the product hasn’t lived up to the expectations that lululemon has set.
The guarantee is that your product will not deteriorate past normal wear and tear when used as the product was intended. It can not be applied to “Like New” products, and those fall under the 30-day return window only.
You can use online chat or take your item with receipt into a lululemon store to have your item assessed to see if the quality hasn’t met expectations to receive a refund or exchange.
lululemon Return Exceptions
What If The Return Window Has Passed: Your item will only be reviewed for refund or exchange after 30 days if the quality doesn’t meet the quality guarantee that lululemon sets. This would include defects found after the 30-day return period not related to how you used the product.
What If The Item Is Damaged: If the item is damaged before you purchase it and notice it when you get home, return the item within the 30-day return window and ensure you don’t wash or remove the tags.
What If I Don’t Have A Receipt: Proof of payment is required to make a return. If you lost the receipt, then a sales associate can look up your receipt using your phone number. If you didn’t provide a phone number, then the return is at the discretion of lululemon and is not guaranteed.
What If I Don’t Have The Original Packaging: Items must be returned with tags attached and original packaging. If there is a product defect, it can be returned without the original packaging and tags removed.
What If The Item Has Already Been Used: Items that you’ve already worn, washed, and removed the tags from can not be returned unless there is a defect with the item. In some situations, you can sell your lightly used items back to lululemon.
