Target Red Card

If you have a Target “Red Card” then you can get additional perks and cash back on purchases.

The Target Red Cards include:

  • Target Debit Card
  • Target Credit Card
  • Target Mastercard

Each card offers 5% off on purchases, extending return policies, free shipping, and exclusive extras. The 5% off can add up to save you a lot of money if you shop at Target frequently. On average, U.S. households spend $4,843 on food each year. Five percent off of that could save you $232 a year.

In some locations, the discount can even be available at the in-store Starbucks! However, note that it does not apply to prescriptions, Target Optical, gift cards, or where prohibited by law.

The return policy is also a nice perk, allowing you an extra 30 days after the normal return period to return purchases. But this does not apply to non-returnable or final sale items.

Plus, if you shop on target.com you can get free shipping on most products and free 2-day shipping on eligible purchases. The eligibility for free 2-day shipping depends on your location and availability of the product. But there is no minimum purchase amount to qualify for free shipping.

The Target credit card does not have any annual fee, but it does have a high APR of 22.90% (which is subject to change). In other words, you’ll need to pay off your balance each month to save money with the Target credit card.

If saving you money isn’t enough, Target also donates 1% of Red Card purchases to the K-12 school of your choice.
