What Type of ATM Machines Does Publix Have?

The ATM Machines are owned by Presto!, which is a debit network owned by Publix. Additionally, the ATM Machines used at all Publix Super Market locations are EMV certified, meaning that they adhere to technical standards in order to accept new smart cards. 

Smart cards contain chips and can be accepted as well as regular magnetic-strip ATM cards, debit cards, and credit cards. 

Also, each ATM is fitted with anti-skimming technology so that your withdrawals will be secure and worry-free.

What is the ATM Fee at Publix?

If your bank or credit union belongs to the Presto! network, then there will be no surcharge fees for the convenience of using the ATM Machine. You can view a list of participating members here on the Presto! customer website. 

Without a membership, the surcharge fee is still very low. It costs $2.95 to use a Presto! ATM Machine.

Are There Any Other Fees to Use the ATM Machines at Publix Charge?

Some banks and credit unions will charge a fee for using an ATM Machine that is not owned by the bank or credit union itself.

In this case, you may be charged a small nominal fee even if your financial institution is affiliated with the Presto! network. 

Is There Any Way to Avoid ATM Fees at Publix? 

You can avoid this fee by approaching a cash register and buying something small like a drink or candy bar and asking for cashback from the cashier.

This is an easy way to get up to $100 cashback without incurring any ATM Machine surcharge fees.

If your bank or credit union is not one of the participating members in the Presto! network, then you will have to pay the surcharge fee of $2.95.

Are There Any Limits to Using a Publix ATM Machine? 

Unfortunately, you are unable to deposit funds at a Publix ATM Machine at this time. You can withdraw a limit of up to $600 per transaction, and the funds will be dispensed in $20 bills. 

Your bank or credit union may have withdrawal limits lower than $600, so be sure to contact your financial institution for more information.

What Other Stores Have an ATM Machine?

If you do not have a Publix Super Market near you, then you can visit another grocery store that may have an ATM Machine. 

These stores include Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS, Target, Safeway, Kroger and more. Be sure to contact your local store before you go to confirm that they have an ATM Machine at your preferred location. 

To avoid surcharge fees, you can also locate an ATM Machine that is owned by your bank or credit union. Most banks and credit unions will not have any extra fees for using their own ATM Machines.

Publix does have EMV certified Presto! ATM Machines in 2021. Every single Publix Super Market in seven different states will have at least one ATM Machine located at the exterior of the store near the entrance. The ATM Machines at Publix Super Markets are open 24/7. 

If your bank or credit union is a Presto! member, then you will have no surcharge fees for withdrawing money. 

Without a membership, the surcharge fee is $2.95. To avoid this fee, use the cash-back system at any Publix cash register to withdraw up to $100, or find your bank-owned ATM Machine.
